Any motivated student in Vienna can apply. You don't need perfect grades, years of coding, or a specific degree. What matters most is curiosity, ambition, and the willingness to learn and contribute.
The Assessment Center takes place on 3.11. You'll work on case studies, small group tasks, and have the chance to meet current Lumos members. It's less about being perfect and more about showing us your motivation, teamwork, and how you approach challenges.
Yes! Many of our members spend time abroad. If you're motivated and want to contribute before and after your exchange, we'd love to have you. Just be transparent about your availability.
Definitely. Lumos has space for many skill sets — from project management and business to marketing and design. If you're curious, motivated, and want to make an impact, there's a place for you here.
You'll gain real-world experience beyond the classroom, work on exciting projects with companies, build your portfolio, and grow in leadership, teamwork, and communication. Most importantly, you'll join a community of ambitious peers who challenge and support each other.
Plan to invest around 6–10 hours per week in Lumos. The workload varies by role and project — some weeks are lighter, others busier during major initiatives. It’s manageable alongside studies and flexible during exam periods.
No, Lumos is not a paid job — it's a student-run non-profit organization. But it's one of the best investments of your time: you'll gain experiences, skills, and networks that will help you land jobs, internships, and even start companies later.
No. Lumos is international and welcomes both German- and English-speaking students. Most of our projects and events run in English.
Our main recruitment happens once per semester. For winter term 2025, applications are open now until 26.10.
Yes! Many of our members were successful on their second try. Motivation and growth are what count.
